When to consider metabolic coaching?

What sessions offer and what they don't

You will have the opportunity to discuss your lifestyle and how you would like to change it. Dr Kos can support you with continuous blood glucose analysis to learn about your blood sugar regulation and energy flux and help you negotiate with meals/calories. However, even though Dr Kos is a psychologist, metabolic coaching is not psychotherapy or treatment for mental health conditions. The sessions offered are not medical consultations. Should any (new) conditions be suspected during your journey, you will be asked to see your doctor or be supported to find a therapist. The sessions build on the background of a healthy balanced diet and evidence on mental and physical wellbeing grounded on medical expertise. ​

A bespoke session plan will be addressing your needs which could be a combination of some of the following:

  • Metabolic coaching discussing energy regulation, your health and lifestyle

  • Life style coaching involving energy gains and drains

  • Creative exploration of the above with use of art
